this is a cover I did for Boom Studios It's a new comic coming out soon called The Unknown should be pretty cool (I'm not sure how much I"m allowed to say about it at this point) but I can post the cover and show you how I did it!!
1. these are some of the materials I used. as you can see, they are colored pencils...prismacolor Also, here is a pic of my current studio You can really get a sense of scale here
2. I start by drawing the sexy on to paper mounted on masonite, Ive been using Stone Henge cold press printmaking paper for this and mount it with 3M high strength 90 spray adhesive once the drawing is done I lay a base coat of yellow watercolor on top of the whole thing
3. Now I am applying white colored pencil down to establish a wax base
4. once I have that wax base down I can start laying some color down.
5. Then I rub it all it with a paper towel. I do this until my arm falls off.
6. Once my arm is reattached and I get back from the hospital I start adding some details
7. even more detail
8. look.. what you do with your paintings is your business, what I do with mine is my business
I actually don't really remember I'm sure it Beige, poppy red, black cherry, chocolate, Indigo blue and a few others. I like to stick with those colors but I do mix it up a lot
That's fuckin' wild! I think i've confined myself to copy paper (8.5x11) because i'm a cheap mofo. But I think I need to get some strathmore bristol smooth and go to town or something. These are phenomenal!

If you have tan skin, try using a purple base color.
I like your style and I'm thinking of using it for my studies and major art pieces. You are very inspiring.
